BOOK RELEASE: Dark Hollows by Steve Frech

Since the beginning I've been hooked and I hate having to put it down for my adult responsibilities. I've got about an hour left to finish but you can buy it now!! Check back later for my full review!

My Favorite E-Reader

Get your Paperwhite HERE
The Kindle Paperwhite is what I currently use for all my e-books and NetGalley advanced reader copies. I love the matte screen and the e-ink technology, makes me feel like I'm looking at a real book page instead of the glossy screen of a tablet or phone. The sync feature allows me to access the exact page using the Kindle app on my phone. Great for when I leave my Kindle at home but have a minute to read my book.
The Oasis is the newest Paperwhite. I'm looking forward to upgrading because of the buttons on the side that allow you to turn pages without touching the screen, something I have found difficult at times when I'm reading one-handed (more often than not #momlife). Both devices allows you to highlight sections and take notes, great for recording my thoughts when I'm reading a book that I need to review. WiFi capability allows you to access a dictionary and Wikipedia for unfamiliar words, or link to your Goodreads account.

#AMREADING

I am 43% through The Institute and I'm bemoaning the reality that I'll be baking most of today and socializing most of tomorrow and my reading time will be at a minimum. Hopefully I can find time between bread rising and pies cooling to advance to at least get to the halfway mark, maybe if I lay off the social media...

#AMREADING

As a mother of five, three being under 4, a majority of this book speaks to me on just the mother level. The early mornings, the small joy and feeling of accomplishment when you fix a simple but healthy, well-balanced meal, the small excursions into town just to fill in the time between naps, I relate to it all. The author is able to illustrate it in a way that highlights the mundane without making motherhood sound banal, instead connecting with the reader, saying, "Hey, it's rough, sometimes boring, but it's incredibly worth the challenge."

My thoughts so far, it's different, but in a good way. Moves along at a leisurely pace; you don't quite know where you're going but the journey is enjoyable.
