2/27/2020 0 Comments New Name! Some changes are coming, starting with the name! Due to my original name already being taken, I shortened it in order to get my preferred domain name and hopefully there won't be too much confusion. The new name can be seen as a play on words, instead of "literally" mad, I'm literary mad, which I am, I'm crazy about literature! I also was able to drop the "Weebly" from the domain name, making access to my site more seamless and easier to remember. Stay tuned for more exciting installments!

My rating: 3 of 5 stars Reading this book was like eating my favorite comfort food. It is my go-to genre; dead people and mysteries, cops and coffee, plenty of legwork and problem solving. Just the right amount of drama among characters, a little too much romance for my taste (but any amount is too much for me), it was perfectly entertaining. The mystery draws you through the story effortlessly, keeps you guessing, and delivers in the end. I would definitely continue on with this series and look forward to reading the next installment. 2/16/2020 0 Comments Rating GuidelinesBased on the five star rating system on Goodreads, as interpreted by me. Read times are based on the average size novel.
FIVE STARS – It was amazing WOW! Could not put it down, literally, it was finished 24 hours from the initial start. I will talk about it continuously to anyone who is listening. When I look at the title a year, or two, or more, from now, I will remember the plot and characters, and be able to recall specific scenes. Children were barely fed, the house is a disaster, but the book was AH-MAZING! Will follow author on social media. FOUR STARS – Really liked it Read from start to finish in less than 48 hours. I will recommend this book to all my book club friends, or anyone I see that reads. I will be able to recall plot and the main character, or favorite character. Children were fed and laundry OR dishes were done (not both). Will follow author on social media. THREE STARS – liked it Read from start to finish in about a week. Might recommend to a person who the book may specifically interest. I will remember that I read it at one point and vaguely remember plot. Daily schedule was barely impacted and reading was limited to bedtime only. Will follow author on social media. TWO STARS – it was OK Read time was at least a week, the longest week of my life. If I speak of this book it will be to say that, eh, it was okay, but I probably won’t recommend it, if anything, I’ll warn people to check it out from the library, but definitely don’t buy. I’ll remember that I read it, but will have to read the synopsis to remember details. Daily schedule may have been impacted only by doing extra chores to avoid reading. Might follow author on social media. ONE STAR – didn’t like it I rarely give these out because, nine times out of ten, I won’t finish this book. Everyone within earshot will know I dislike this book and why. I probably will have strong opinions if it is semi-well written but has horrible content, or if it’s just terribly written, I’ll put it down and walk away. Why it is terrible will be the only thing I remember. I will loathe reading this book and will try and find new TV series to watch instead. I will not follow the author on social media. 2/10/2020 0 Comments Only Lies Remain by Val Collins

My rating: 4 of 5 stars A page-turner from beginning to end, this quick read is everything you want when you reach for a crime mystery. The characters and situations are relatable, realistic, and well fleshed out. Scenes evoke a myriad of emotions and reactions. Intrigue and surprises at every turn, and an ending not even I could predict. This book is very well written and satisfying. View all my reviews
