2/16/2020 0 Comments Rating GuidelinesBased on the five star rating system on Goodreads, as interpreted by me. Read times are based on the average size novel.
FIVE STARS – It was amazing WOW! Could not put it down, literally, it was finished 24 hours from the initial start. I will talk about it continuously to anyone who is listening. When I look at the title a year, or two, or more, from now, I will remember the plot and characters, and be able to recall specific scenes. Children were barely fed, the house is a disaster, but the book was AH-MAZING! Will follow author on social media. FOUR STARS – Really liked it Read from start to finish in less than 48 hours. I will recommend this book to all my book club friends, or anyone I see that reads. I will be able to recall plot and the main character, or favorite character. Children were fed and laundry OR dishes were done (not both). Will follow author on social media. THREE STARS – liked it Read from start to finish in about a week. Might recommend to a person who the book may specifically interest. I will remember that I read it at one point and vaguely remember plot. Daily schedule was barely impacted and reading was limited to bedtime only. Will follow author on social media. TWO STARS – it was OK Read time was at least a week, the longest week of my life. If I speak of this book it will be to say that, eh, it was okay, but I probably won’t recommend it, if anything, I’ll warn people to check it out from the library, but definitely don’t buy. I’ll remember that I read it, but will have to read the synopsis to remember details. Daily schedule may have been impacted only by doing extra chores to avoid reading. Might follow author on social media. ONE STAR – didn’t like it I rarely give these out because, nine times out of ten, I won’t finish this book. Everyone within earshot will know I dislike this book and why. I probably will have strong opinions if it is semi-well written but has horrible content, or if it’s just terribly written, I’ll put it down and walk away. Why it is terrible will be the only thing I remember. I will loathe reading this book and will try and find new TV series to watch instead. I will not follow the author on social media.
